BURLINGTON, Vt. - Plenty to see and do at Burlington's Waterfront on Saturday.

Vermont's Army National Guard took out the Blackhawk Helicopters.

You could see them training to keep themselves sharp in water rescue and fighting forest fires.

The Guard was assisted by the Coast Guard and Colchester Technical Rescue.

Of course, they said it's a treat to have the public there to see them in action.

Even more so, they liked the realism of training in Lake Champlain.

"For people to come down and educate themselves about our soldiers and our equipment, it lets them know what their National Guard is capable of and also what were going to offer them in a time of need," Major Doran

Metzger, Company Commander, C-126.

The public chatted with some crew members and got an up-close view of the chopper.
