WINDHAM, Vt. - Vermont State Police are investigating vandalism and theft of diesel fuel from the Windham Town Garage. The incident happened after 3 p.m. on May 12 and before 6 a.m. on May 13.
Police say someone used a cutting tool to remove a lock from a fuel switch box that contained a 2,000 gallon fuel tank. Approximately 33 gallons of fuel was taken.
Vermont State Police received another report on Wednesday that someone cut a lock to a manual pump at the back of a fuel tank. About 100 gallons of fuel was taken.
