MONTPELIER, Vt. - The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles is looking for a motorcycle driver doing a wheelie near exit 13 on I-89 on Tuesday during the evening rush hour.
A press release says DMV Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Inspector Captain Jake Elovrita attempted to stop the driver, but the operator sped away.
The motorcycle driver continued traveling north, cutting back and forth in front of other vehicles. Captain Elvorita stopped following the driver over concerns of public safety.
Captain Elovirta said they are getting some information including a license plate number.
So far this year, Vermont has had 51 vehicle fatality deaths. Seven of those deaths were from motorcycle crashes.
