Water Service to be Temporarily Shutoff For Some Residents in Middlebury

Water service will be temporarily shutoff for some residents in Middlebury on Wednesday.
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Water service will be temporarily shutoff for some residents in Middlebury on Wednesday.

A press release says water will be shutoff temporarily from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Water Street, Duane Court, and a portion of Charles Avenue - from Duane Court to the Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society. 

The outage will allow crews to install a new water main on Water Street and connect it with an existing water line on Cross Street.

Water Street will be closed to traffic entering from Cross Street during this construction. Access to Mary Johnson Children's Center will be available from the south end of Charles Avenue, by the high school. The road will remain closed overnight on July 9 and throughout the day on July 10.
