First Arrest Under NY's Safe Act

A landmark arrest in New York, the first under the state's Safe Act.
BUFFALO, N.Y. - A landmark arrest in New York, the first under the state's Safe Act. Paul Wojdan pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges.

Police say they pulled over Wojdan's girlfriend for speeding Sunday. He told police about his pistol and that he had a legal permit.

Officers say Wodjan's gun had 10 bullets, more than the 7 allowed under the new gun control law.

"It's our right to, you know, bear arms.  It shouldn't even be a ten round limit. My magazine should of held seventeen but they have taken away our rights and they're trying to take away more day by day and I'm tired of it," Paul Wojdan said.

New York's Safe Act took effect in April.
