First Neighborhood Watch Meeting Monday Night in Winooski, VT

People in Winooski say they're fed up after a rash of burglaries over the past few months.
WINOOSKI, Vt. - People in Winooski say they're fed up after a rash of burglaries over the past few months.

They decided to do something about it. The first neighborhood watch meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. It'll be held at Saint Francis Xavier Church.

The police chief will be there and you're welcome too.

"We are really trying to incapsulate it into a larger social media presence by using Facebook and other ways of getting information out and looking at the whole city," Winooski Police Chief Steve McQueen said.

People who are a part of the neighborhood watch are encouraged to report suspicious activity to police.
