GMP Turns the Lights Back on For More Than 22,000 Customers After Sunday's Snow Storm

Green Mountain Power (GMP) has turned the lights back on for more than 22,000 customers after Sunday's snow storm.
COLCHESTER, Vt. - Green Mountain Power (GMP) has turned the lights back on for more than 22,000 customers after Sunday's snow storm.

GMP says they have 500 more customers to restore. Those customers should have power back around midnight.

“Before the storm hit we were able to send many crews to the areas that were forecast to be most heavily affected,” said Dorothy Schnure, Green Mountain Power spokesperson. “Crews were able to get to work as soon as the first outages occurred, and stayed on the job overnight. Monday morning we had contractors on the scene to provide reinforcements.”

Customers may report outages by calling 1-888-835-4672 or by visiting GMP’s Outage Center page at www.greenmountainpower.com.
