Light Snow Accumulation Sunday Morning

A batch of light snow moves through Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
COLCHESTER, Vt. - A clipper system will drop through with a bit of light rain and snow Saturday night and Sunday morning. That will create some slick spots on area roads.

Below 1,000 ft.: Rain showers overnight will mix with, and perhaps change to, wet snow for a time. Don't expect much accumulation in these areas, including the Champlain Valley. Off and on rain showers will continue during the day Sunday as winds kick up and temperatures reach into the 40s.

Between 1,000 ft. and 3,000ft.: Snow will fall tonight, and accumulate between a dusting and 2" by morning. In parts of Central and Northeast Vermont, totals will be on the order of 1-3". Snow showers will transition to spotty rain showers during the day Sunday as highs climb into the 40s. The transition to rain will be last in extreme Northeastern Vermont- that will happen by midday.

A few more snow showers will drift through Sunday night.

Over 3,000 ft.: This is where the highest totals, 2-6"+, will be found. Expect the highest amounts in the Northern Greens. Rain will mix in during the day.

A few more snow showers, with a light accumulation, come through Sunday night.
