MyWebGrocer Creates Etch a Sketch With Donated Goods

Several businesses collected cans, but MyWebGrocer really out did itself.
WINOOSKI, Vt. - Several businesses collected cans, but MyWebGrocer really out did itself.

The company created an "etch a sketch" with the donated goods!

The software company wanted to spread cheer in a creative way.  The noodles were wrapped and even some of the Christmas tree ornaments were cereal boxes.

The display was torn down and all of the food went to the Winooski Food Shelf!

"We recognize that there are a lot of others that are much less fortunate than we are and hopefully we can give back and brighten someone's holiday," Heather Adams, of MyWebGrocer, said.

Employees at my web grocer also donated 25-hundred dollars... The company matched it.

"There's a constant need and it's a growing need. We've seen our numbers go way up," Linda Howe, of the Winooski Food Shelf, said.

The $5,000 check was given to the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. One dollar donated to the food shelf equals three meals.
