The Bennington Welcome Center, which is at the interchange between Routes 279 and 7, will open at 7 a.m.
The project has been under construction for the past five years, but in the making for 20 years or more.
Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin says the new center is an important economic step for southerwestern Vermont.
"This new welcome center creates a beautiful gateway into Vermont through Bennington County, providing Vermonters and out of state visitors alike with the services and information they need to enjoy the region and the state as a whole," Gov. Shumlin said.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place later in November.
