CONCORD, N.H. - A bill being considered in the New Hampshire Senate would limit access to firearms for those deemed mentally ill by the court.

According to the legislation, certain individuals would be required to be entered into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System Index. This would help determine who is eligible to own and possess firearms.

The bill faces a hearing in the New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday morning.
