NH House Passes Bill to Expand Access to Healthcare

The New Hampshire House passed a bill Wednesday that would repeal the prohibition on a state-based health exchange.
CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire House passed a bill Wednesday that would repeal the prohibition on a state-based health exchange.

A press release says this would expand the access to health care for 58,000 low income working men and women across the state.

"Our focus in 2014 is addressing critical needs, promoting a stronger economy and ensuring that our state takes advantage of available opportunities to strengthen our communities by making our citizens healthier and our healthcare system stronger," Speaker Terie Norelli (D) said.

The bill now goes to New Hampshire's Senate.
