NH Lawmakers Trying to Repeal Death Penalty

New Hampshire lawmakers are trying to repeal the death penalty in the state.
CONCORD, N.H. - New Hampshire lawmakers are trying to repeal the death penalty in the state. A public hearing on the bill was held Thursday afternoon.

According to the legislation, the bill would repeal the offense of capital murder. Anyone who is charged with first degree murder would face life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The bill is currently in the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety committee.
