Plattsburgh Dancers Headed to Big Game

Four dancers from Center Stage in Plattsburgh, NY have been chosen to perform at halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII.
Plattsburgh, NY -- This weekend those participating in Super Bowl XLVIII will converge on the New York/New Jersey area to prep for showtime on February 2nd but not all of those taking the big stage and the big game are on the Seahawks or Broncos. Four dancers from Center Stage in Plattsburgh, NY have been chosen to perform at halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII.

"This weekend all four of us are going down to New Jersey for our first rehearsal for the Super Bowl halftime show." said 17-year old Arianna Hicks, a 16 year old Beekmantown High School student.

"I'm so excited. I might just die of excitement!" said Amanda Plessis-Belair, 18, a CVPH School of Radiology student.

17-year old Plattsburgh High Schooler Maya Browne, Hicks, Plessis-Belair and 16-year old Sabrino Bruno will travel to Metlife Stadium Saturday for their first of a weeklong schedule of rehearsals before Sunday's performance.

"I'm really excited. I'd definitely rather go with 4 of my close friends than by myself." said Hicks. "I mean it's more fun to share the experience with them than just myself."

They're not allowed to specifically talk about what they'll be doing. For example, they can't say who they'll be dancing with but Bruno Mars is headlining the halftime entertainment. They also don't know exactly what their role in the show will be.

"I hope to be center stage. As close to the performance as possible but just being able to be there is a big opportunity in itself." said Bruno.
