SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - South Burlington police are investigating how a man died in a carwash.

It happened at the Seaway Carwash on Shelburne Road. On Saturday morning, an employee found a man next to his vehicle in a closed wash bay.

The 48-year-old South Burlington man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"He was there for quite some time. He had gotten there quite early. He'd actually gotten there last evening. We're going to go through the video more. At this point, it doesn't appear to be anything more than some type of medical issue," says Det. Ron Bliss, South Burlington Police Department.

Police say they are investigating all possibilities including carbon monoxide poisoning. At this point, they say his death does not appear suspicious.

Police are not releasing the man's name until his family is notified. An autopsy is scheduled for next week.
