I think my name could be “Marathon” because I do like to run! I have a habit of getting away and running and running! And I’m really hard to catch so my new owner will need to keep me on leash at all times! You see, I was adopted from RCHS and I got away from my adoptive owner and I was on the run for 2 months. I was finally spotted hanging out at a barn where a humane trap was set and I was finally caught on February 3. I was pretty tired and slept for quite a while when I got to RCHS. Prior to that I was found as a stray near a rest stop on Route 4 in Ira/Hubbardton in October and was brought to RCHS. My new family will need to keep me on leash all the time so I’m safe. I’m an escape artist, too, and I’ve been known to dig out under a fence so lots of leash walks will be best for me. I am wary of new people at first but once I get to know you I’m your best friend. I have that look in my eyes that says “gee I’d like to be your friend but I’m just not sure”. And then before you know it I feel comfortable and I am your best friend! I’m a nice sweet dog who is easy to have around. I’m quiet and I have nice leash manners and I enjoy going for walks. I think a quiet home might be best for me where there isn’t a lot of commotion and people coming and going. I’m a great size to snuggle with during this chilly weather so please stop by for a visit.
