The University of Vermont women's basketball team will face opponents from seven different leagues, four teams that advanced to the postseason last year and two conference champions in 2013-14.  The complete schedule was released today.

Fans can get their first look at the 2013-14 edition of the Catamounts on October 19 when UVM hosts the Catamount Tipoff.  UVM will play a pair of Northeast-10 schools in exhibition games to prepare for the regular season.  Vermont hosts Saint Michael's on October 26 and Stonehill on November 2.

The regular season gets underway with a pair of road games.  Vermont begins the season at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. on November 9 and will travel down I-89 to face Dartmouth on November 11.

The Catamounts will host the annual TD Bank Classic on November 22 and 23 at Patrick Gymnasium.  The 2013 field includes North Florida, Siena and Wisconsin-Green Bay.  Wisconsin-Green Bay won the 2004 TD Bank Classic and is the defending Horizon League Champion.

Vermont will also host Central Connecticut (Dec. 8), Canisius (Dec. 16) and Patriot League newcomer Boston University (Dec. 29) at Patrick Gymnasium this season.

The Catamounts will play an in-season tournament on December 20-21 at Lehigh and closes out the non-conference slate with a pair of trips to Ivy League schools.  Vermont rings in 2014 at Cornell (Jan. 2) and travels to Brown in the final non-conference contest on January 6.

UVM will play an early league opener on December 1, hosting America East newcomer UMass Lowell at Patrick Gymnasium. The conference schedule begins in earnest on January 9 with a matchup against defending America East Champion Albany in Burlington.

The Catamounts will face UMBC in a rematch of the 2013 America East Quarterfinal game on January 18 at Patrick Gymnasium.  Vermont defeated the Retrievers on a late 3-pointer to advance to the America East Semifinals for a conference record 18th time.  UVM hosts Binghamton on February 22 on Senior Day before closing out the regular season with a pair of road games at Stony Brook and at Hartford.

Following the conclusion of the regular seasons, the 2013 America East Men's and Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinal and semifinal round action will return to Albany's SEFCU Arena for the second straight year on March 7-9. The 2013 women's championship game will also be played in Albany on Monday, March 10, and be nationally televised.  The league's full television schedule will be announced at a later date.
