VT Turkey Hunters Had Record Year in 2013

According to the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, Vermont turkey hunters had successful spring and fall hunting seasons.
MONTPELIER, Vt. - According to the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, Vermont turkey hunters had successful spring and fall hunting seasons.

A record 6,968 turkeys were taken by hunters during Vermont's three hunting seasons, the spring youth hunt, regular May spring season, and the fall turkey hunt.

Vermont’s wild turkey numbers increased to about 45,000 to 60,000 turkeys in the fall 2013 population.
