Wanted Man Accused of Stealing Police Cruiser Pleads Not Guilty

A Saint Albans man pleads not guilty to hitting an officer with a stolen cruiser.
ST. ALBANS, Vt. - A Saint Albans man pleads not guilty to hitting an officer with a stolen cruiser. The incident happened Sunday night.

Roger Patenaude, 34, faces several charges including aggravated assault and negligent operation.

The officer has minor injuries. Police say the cruiser was heavily damaged.

Patenaude is being held on 25-thousand dollar bail.

If bail is met, he'll be released on conditions including not being allowed to drive.
