ESSEX, Vt. - It's always the most popular new years resolution to lose weight by eating better and working out!

Staff members at the Edge in Essex say there was a big rush when the doors opened at noon.

People hoping to start the new year off on the right foot.

FOX 44 and ABC 22 talked to one person who wants to complete a mini-triathalon this year with her friend.

"I want to be here a couple times a week working out," Hannah Contois, Winooski, Vt. resident, said. "Meeting up with Ash a few times to keep pushing me, because otherwise I wouldn't push myself nearly as hard. I want to be able to come here every day and not die after it."

Studies show that only 8%  of people actually achieve their New Year's resolutions. So, if you have one, here's to hoping you stick with it!
