Your Photos: Tuesday Cold Marks Beginning of Deep Freeze

Tuesday's cold weather marks the beginning of a deep freeze.
Many of you chimed in with your weather report Tuesday morning and my immediate response to that is, “THANK YOU!” I love hearing, seeing, reading what you have for weather at your location. Viewer reports are my eyes and ears within the many microclimates we reside in.

Here is what some of you had to share:

Alain R. from Derby, VT wrote “Where is the snow pal? We are at -14 right now. A little chilly. Stay warm.” Angela wrote “Hi Steve. It’s a brisk 26 degrees below zero this morning in Elmore. Enjoy your day.” Tom from Greensboro, VT, “took a look outside and see it's now down to 17 degrees below zero in Greensboro Village Be Well” And DW from Stamford, VT wrote “-2 degrees and breezy. Stay warm, have a good day.”

I love all the kind gestures to have a good day. Fortunately I work inside but I thank those people who must be out on a day like this. Scroll through the pictures to see what people had on their thermometers Tuesday morning.

More cold is on the way. In fact temperatures will likely even get colder than Tuesday morning, routinely dropping to -15 to 0 for most spots but down to -20 to even -30 degrees in northern towns of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire Wednesday morning, Thursday morning , and Friday morning. After a brief warming trend Friday night into Saturday, another arctic assault will rush in Sunday through the end of January.
