11.21.13 Mansfield Enjoys Snowy Start

The National Weather Service says Mt. Mansfield has enjoyed a snowy start to the season.
According to the National Weather Service, the season has started snowy atop Mt. Mansfield.

So far this season 35.4" of snow has fallen on Vermont's highest peak. Through this point in the season, average snowfall is 30.6".

Of that seasonal total 24.1" has fallen in November. That compares to the average of 19.6".

A few more batches of snow are possible over the next few days.

Friday begins with a few flurries, then switches to off/on rain showers during the day. As colder air works in Friday night, things will turn back to snow.

More snow showers swing through with colder air Saturday night and Sunday, and then again Monday night into Tuesday.

None of these are big snow events, just small disturbances. Each could bring another dusting to a few inches, however.
