12.26.13 Storm Lurks for Late Weekend

Expect a warm up for the first part of the weekend, followed by another chance of snow.
After days of sub-freezing temperatures in areas hit by the ice storm, temperatures will finally warm up early in the weekend.

Highs on Saturday reach the 30s for most, with some places even approaching 40 (especially in southern areas). Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a few flurries in the mountains.

Sunday is also mostly dry and mostly cloudy, with highs in the 30s. Late in the day, and especially Sunday night, another storm starts to move up the coast. It's still very early, but as of now it appears as though that storm will track through Cape Cod, spreading snow into much of the North Country. Again, it's still several days away so it's too soon to talk totals. If the track stays somewhat steady expect the heaviest totals in Central Vermont, down into Southeast Vermont as well as the Upper Valley and New Hampshire.

The storm should be a quick mover, meaning most snow should wrap up very early Monday morning. Stay tuned for more updates over the next few days.
