Weather School: November Tornadoes

Meteorologist Michael Page discusses November tornadoes in Weather School.
November tornadoes aren't rare, but major outbreaks like we saw last weekend are.

Warm, moist air ahead of a cold front created instability for the storms to feed off of, while northwest winds just behind the front helped turn the air. That's a critical component for tornado development.

So far, 81 tornadoes have been confirmed in last weekend's outbreak. Meteorologist Michael Page talks more about November tornadoes in this week's Weather School.

Weather School airs Sunday nights at 10 PM on FOX 44. If you have a weather question, e-mail Michael (mpage@fox44now.com).
