Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop late Thursday morning, lasting through Thursday evening. After sunset these storms will diminish and the sky will clear. Calm and quieter weather will return Friday.
Thursday morning will be your time to get outside and get things done, after that it's looking pretty wet in some areas through the afternoon hours. Stronger storms that develop Thursday will be capable of bringing hail, isolated damaging wind gusts, and heavy rainfall. Lightning will be another threat especially to those people outside.
Much of our area will be at risk of these storms, especially the northern halves of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire, also into southern Quebec.
