Julia Swift Reviews “I, Tonya”

This week, Champlain College assistant professor of film writing Julia Swift reviews “I, Tonya”, starring Margot Robbie, Sebastian Stan and Allison Janney, among others.

The film examines champion figure skater Tonya Harding and the attack on rival skater Nancy Kerrigan that Harding was connected to. Swift recommends “I, Tonya” for its ability to make you think in a new way about someone who was constantly in the headlines in the 1990s — someone about whom you may have thought you’d heard everything there was to know.
