Bernie Lange

Bernie Lange is an evening anchor at Local 22 & Local 44.

Where did you grow up?

Lakewood (near Denver) Colorado. I was just merely a few miles from the famous natural outdoor amphitheater Red Rocks where many famous concerts have been performed and filmed. Namely U2's "Under A Blood Red Sky". A film that put the band on the map! Denver is a great city and I loved growing up in the Mile High City!

Where did you attend school?

University of Colorado. Well, the University of Colorado at Denver specifically. An urban university in the heart of downtown Denver. Great friends and a great education! I miss the Boiler Room though!

Where have you worked previously?

My first news job was at KOTA in Rapid City, South Dakota. It was a great experience and a place where I learned so much about the profession! They say your first news job is where you'll meet people that will remain friends for the rest of your life. I would say that's true! Great people!

After KOTA I moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where I became evening anchor for the ABC. After a few years my parents relocated from the Denver area to GJ. It was great having them close.

I left the business for a few years before taking a morning anchor job in Grand Junction at KKCO. I then moved into the evening anchor slot before moving to the Champlain Valley!

What are your hobbies?

Spending time with my 3 young boys Vincent, Alex and Antonio. They are absolutely the light of my life!

What are your favorite sports teams?

Got to say my allegiances will always lie with Denver Broncos! My father went to UCLA so I grew up as a big fan of their athletics too! GO BRUINS!

What is your favorite food?

Sushi and a rare cut of Filet Mignon with a nice glass of Cabernet.

What is one thing you would put on a "bucket list"?

Too many to list here but golfing Augusta is near the top!
