Contact Megan Carpenter:

Megan Carpenter the morning anchor for Local 22 and Local 44. She joined the team in January 2014.

Where did you grow up?
Albany, New York.

Where did you attend school?
University at Albany and Syracuse University. The northeast holds a special place in my heart.

Where have you worked previously?
This is my first full-time job in news! I did fill-in as a reporter/MMJ at WBNG in Binghamton, NY before coming to the beautiful state of Vermont.

What is the most challenging story you’ve ever done?
Every story has its own challenges. That?s what makes journalism so rewarding and fun.

Who is your favorite national correspondent?
Diane Sawyer. She has been an inspiration to me for many years. I also had the GREAT pleasure of meeting Martha Raddatz, another who has opened many doors for women in news.

What are your hobbies?
Singing. I think I started singing before I could talk.

What are your favorite sports teams?
As a proud New Yorker, I have to support my Giants! Of course, if the Syracuse Orangemen are playing, you can bet I’m watching and yelling.

What is your favorite book?
How can it be narrowed down to just one?? Of Mice and Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, P.S. I Love You, all of the Harry Potter books (yep, I’ll admit it).

What is your favorite food?
I don’t have an Italian bone in my body, but I can?t get enough spaghetti and meatballs.

What is one thing you would put on a “bucket list”?
I’ve already cliff-jumped. I guess skydiving is next.
