ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. - Essex Police say a 13 year-old boy was hit by a school bus in Essex Junction Thursday afternoon.
Police say it happened just before 3:30, near Sand Hill and Tanglewood roads.
Police say a Mountain Transit school bus was involved, but could not say how the boy was hit.
Local 22 & Local 44 News was at the scene just after the boy was taken to the hospital for injuries; our photographer on scene says students remained on the bus during the incident.
Police declined to say how serious the boy's injuries are, but he was transported to the hospital by Essex Rescue.
Local 22 & Local 44 News has reached out to Essex Westford School District superintendent Beth Cobb for comment.
In an email at the time of the incident, Cobb was out of state, but said she had been informed and was dealing with the situation.
