14-year-old from Canada arrested in connection with Hanover, NH school threat

Police in Hanover say a 14 year-old in Canada has been arrested for making threats to Hanover High School Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the 14 year-old was taken into custody and formally charged with posting a threat on Instagram, titled “hanoverhighshooting.”

Police tell Local 22 & Local 44 News with assistance from Lebanon Police Sgt. Richard Norris, the threat was tracked to a residence in Canada.


According to a media release, in cooperation with Canadian law enforcement, a search of the residence was conducted, and electronic devices were seized.

Police say the investigation was ongoing, and the seized electronics are being investigated by Canadian authorities.

Police want to thank community members for coming forward with information.
