The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office says an arrest has been made in the death of 11-year-old Celina Cass.

Attorney General Joseph Foster says Wendell Noyes, 52, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Noyes was Celina’s stepdad at the time of her death.

Authorities say Noyes caused Cass’ death by ‘submerging her body in the Connecticut River.’

Investigators say Celina was last seen on July 25, 2011, in West Stewartstown. Her body was found six days later in the river, about a half mile from her home.

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for Noyes. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Berlin Circuit Court.
