Two separate alien smuggling attempts were stopped at the New York – Vermont border over the weekend.
One person was arrested on charges of alien smuggling. Four others face charges of entry without inspection.
The operation was part of three immigration checkpoints set up between June 21st and June 25th, Two took place near North Hudson and another near Tupper Lake.
Another 10 people are arrested for not having valid immigration status.
Those people were from Mexico, Romania, Nepal and Bulgaria.
Agents also made several seizures of marijuana.
