At the Box Office: Close Encounters of the Third Kind


This week on Local 44 Morning Brew, Champlain College professor of film writing Julia Swift reviewed the Steven Spielberg classic, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. 

The movie is back in theaters for a special week long run to honor its 40th anniversary. The film will be played in a new 4k restoration, which means the picture and sound will with better than ever. 

The 1977 American science fiction film tells the story of a Roy Neary, an everyday blue-collar worker in Indiana, whose life changes after an encounter with an unidentified flying object. 

Close Encounters of the Third Kind is rated PG.
