You have seen her photos during our weather forecast on Local 22 & Local 44 News, some sunsets, others are of events happening in the local community.
Drew Bressel of Waterville, Vermont has shared 300 photos with Local 22 & Local 44 News. Now it’s time to learn who is behind the lens.
A self-taught photographer, Bressel began her passion for taking photos when she was a child.
“I grew up doing 4-H. Gardening and that is where I guess my love for photography came from. Chasing butterflies,” said Bressel.
Fifteen years later, she told us that she is still perfecting her skills.
We meet up with Bressel on Friday at her favorite location in Johnson, overlooking the Lamoille River.
She told Local 22 & Local 44 News, her camera is by her side around the clock.
You never know when the ‘money shot’ will appear, “A moose, in there native habitat. A pond or body of water.”
While Bressel has snapped may photos of Vermont moose, she is still hoping for that perfect shot.
Tagging along on Friday’s interview was her niece, Hailey Burt.
She too has a love for taking photos.
“She inspired me to get a camera since my mom got one for me. I am always taking pictures with her,” said Burt.
“I don’t think I would have taken as many photos as I have if it weren’t for her,” said Burt.
Deep down, the passion for taking scenic photos was ignited by Brussels’ mother.
“It’s my world, and you brought my world to me,” Bressel said.
