Blanchard and Leddy Beaches closed due to E.Coli

Blanchard and Leddy beaches were closed, again, due to unsafe water conditions.
The Burlington Parks and Recreation reported E. Coli levels exceeded what’s normal.

Swimming, wading, and boating is not recommended.
Park patrol turned away 30 plus beach goers today.
A Williston company had their company picnic at Oakledge Park and weren’t allowed to go in the water.

“Our company picnics usually are at one of the beaches in the area…this year we picked Oakledge and you know, for LORD it’s kind of puts a damper on our festivities because we can’t use the water due to E.Coli,” said LORD Sensing Systems employee, Alexander Scafidi.

Burlington Parks and Recreation will put out a notice once the samples are clear.
