Burglars Strike Five Montpelier Businesses

Burglars made the rounds in Montpelier, hitting at least five businesses early Wednesday.

Police say it all started just after midnight, when they responded to an attempted ATM theft on National Life Drive.

Just 20 minutes later, a burglary activation went off at Vermont Tire Warehouse on Pioneer Street.

Then, a third burglary was reported at the State DMV building. Police say it was another unsuccessful attempt to steal an ATM.

Two hours later, police got a call to go back to Pioneer St., where the VFW was broken into.

A fifth burglary was also reported at Ford Formula car dealership.

All burglaries are under investigation.
