Games will go on at Burlington High School.  Despite the teachers’ strike, the Burlington School District has determined that athletic events can be played as scheduled, dependent on the participation of non-teacher and volunteer coaches.

Local 22 and 44 has been told that the homecoming football game scheduled for Friday night at 7:00 is one of the games that will play on.  The Seahorses will host the South Burlington Wolves in a game that’s been circled on the calendar since BHS moved up to Division-I.

However, Burlington Head Coach Brennan Carney is a teacher at the High School and therefore will be unable to coach barring the end of the strike.

There are five other Burlington High School varsity games scheduled for this weekend between Friday and Saturday.

Boys and girls soccer and volleyball as well as field hockey all have home games on the calendar this weekend.
