The Burlington Fire Department is holding its annual 9/11 Day of Remembrance Blood Drive on Wednesday.
The event is noon-6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn in Colchester.
Brad Howort from the American Red Cross joined us talk about the blood drive, how it started and what it means to him.
Howort grew up in New York City and lost his childhood best friend in the attacks on the World Trade Center. He said he is proud to collect blood in memory of his friend and all who lost their lives that day.
