Shoppers in the Burlington area have another grocery store to check out.
The doors to City Market’s second location opened Thursday.
It’s located on the south side of the city, on Flynn Avenue.
The space includes a teaching kitchen and a garden for kids.
There’s also over a hundred parking spots for cars and seventy spots for bikes.
The co-op has been around for decades having a big impact on the community.
“People have been sharing stories about when they joined the co-op, what they remember about Archibald Street and North Winooski Avenue and what they love about the downtown store.” Said City Market’s Community Engagement Director Allison Hope.
Employees at City Market tell us if you’re part of the Three-Squares-Vermont program and have the EBT card, you can’t use it right now at the new store.
City Market still has to be inspected for the program, which will happen in the next two weeks.
If you have the cash option with the card, you will be able to use it.
