A Colchester man was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to receiving child porn, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont.
Nicholas Rodimon, 31, was sentenced Monday, he will have to serve 8 years of supervised release and pay a $100 special assessment.
According to court records and proceedings, Rodimon met a Romanian woman named Natalia on a website in 2014. They started talking using Skype, and Natalia performed sex shows, that he watched at his home in Colchester.
Officials say Rodimon sent around $5,400 to Natalia between May 2014 and February 2016. During that time, Natalia engaged in sexual activity with a girl under the age of 12. Rodimon watched and even recorded some of it, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont.
Around November 11, 2015, officials say Rodimon saved a sexually explicit image of the young girl onto the hard drive of his computer.
Natalia was prosecuted in Romania, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont says she will also serve 9.5 years.
