Forget a steak dinner, these dads put on their running shoes for Father’s Day.
Families headed to the 26th Annual Father’s Day 5k in Essex, Vt.
Runners, like Garry Malle and Peter Croce from Essex, say it’s a good opportunity for families to spend quality time together while doing something healthy.
“Well you know it was a good way to get out and get some exercise, trying to be a little healthier than normal, and Pete and I decided to to grab a couple families and try to burn some calories before we have a Father’s Day brunch,” Malle said.
68 people ran 3.1 miles through the town. The best times were between 20 and 25 minutes.
