South Burlington police say alcohol was involved in a four-vehicle crash that held up traffic in South Burlington Monday evening.
It happened at the intersection of Kennedy Drive and Hinesburg Road around 6:00 p.m.
Police say 34-year-old Trevor Cayia failed to slow down, causing the crashes.
They say he also fled the scene of the crash and resisted arrest before being detained by officers.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
