Our third and final feed a family food drive wrapped up in Montpelier tonight.
The venue was the Hunger Mountain Co-op and the generosity was high!
Over 4 thousand dollars in monetary donations were received and around one-thousand pounds of food donated by the good people in Montpelier.
All the donations will benefit the Vermont Food Bank.
They gets most of their food and cash donations this time of year when it’s needed more than ever.
More people rely on the foodbank than you might think.
“The need all over Vermont is huge, we have a hundred and fifty three thousand people that get served by the vermont food bank.” Said John Sayles, Executive Director of the Vermont Foodbank. “That’s almost one in four Vermonters and they are our neighbors.”
Although our Feed a Family food drives are over the Vermont Foodbank hopes people can give what they can year round.
