Two Milton families are displaced following a fire at a multi-unit building at 63 & 65 Bear Trap Road Saturday morning.
Milton firefighters came upon heavy flames on the second floor when they arrived just after 11am, according to Assistant Fire Chief Chris Poirier.
Asst. Chief Poirier says it took up to 45 minutes for crews from four area towns to extinguish the flames.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire. The American Red Cross says it is assisting six people who are displaced.
The cause is unknown.
Asst. Chief Poirier thinks the building was likely destroyed with estimated property damage costs at $200,000.
