Former Hospital Pharmacy Manager Accused of Stealing Narcotics, Altering Records

A former Northwest Medical Center employee is accused of stealing narcotics and altering hospital pharmacy records.

The incident happened during the evening hours on Wednesday.

Police say Brian Badgley, 31, of St. Albans, entered a restricted and a controlled area and forcibly broke into a narcotic medication dispensing container.

Badgley was the pharmacy manager was terminated from his position on Tuesday.

On Thursday, police say Badgley turned himself in. He was cited on charges of larceny, possessing a controlled substance, trespassing, and vandalism.

The hospital is working with the St. Albans Police Department, Vermont State Pharmacy Board, and other regulatory agencies in an ongoing investigation.
