Four Seasons Dermatology is putting a spotlight on Melanoma Awareness Month
Doctors are reminding people to come in for a skin cancer screening. Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
The spot you see on Four Seasons Dermatology’s shirts is a reminder to be on the lookout for spots on your skin that are changing, which can be a sign of melanoma.
“It helps us up our game and reach out to patients who may not have come in for skin cancer screening, but for other reasons, and I think the more information that gets out there, the better for the community,” says Four Seasons Dermatology Owner, Dr. Anita Licata.
Nearly 90 percent of melanomas are thought to be caused by exposure to UV light and sunlight.
