Some residents in Milton will be losing their power for an hour, Wednesday night to relocate two osprey nests.
Green Mountain Power says they will interrupt service starting at 8 p.m. for the Lake Road area of Milton towards the Georgia Shore.
GMP says they need to relocate the nests because they are too close to the power lines.
“Moving the nests is beneficial to the ospreys and our customers, as we avoid potentially much longer outages,” said Dorothy Schnure, spokesperson for Green Mountain Power. “The ospreys have not laid eggs yet, so relocating the nest will be a smooth and safe transition for them.”
