With the holidays right around the corner it’s not uncommon to gain weight between the parties, stress and irresistible baked goods.
Those at HammerFit Athletic Club in Essex Junction offered tips to avoid weight gain and how to get through the holidays guilt free:
Personal trainer Aliza Beliveau said be active, practice smart snacking and skip the seconds to stay healthy. She also said it’s all about balance and not to deprive yourself when you’re supposed to be celebrating.
“There’s always going to be healthy options and not so healthy options and it’s okay to have both,” Beliveau said. “We need to be realistic.”
She also suggested switching your cheat day to the day of a holiday party.
