MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - More than 100 dogs and their owners attended Homeward Bound Humane Society's annual 'Woofstock' in Middlebury Saturday.
The event featured a one-mile walk around town, pet portraits and a doggie dip pool.
It's Homeward Bound's largest fundraising effort of the year, with the money raised going toward caring for animals at the Humane Society.
"They aren't our whole lives but they make our lives whole is what the quote says and you can see by the bond here today what a service they provide to us and then its our responsibility to provide for them if they're homeless or they need shelter," said Jessica Danyow, Homeward Bound executive director.
Homeward Bound currently has 149 animals in its care and to date have completed more than 450 adoptions.
