An invasive beetle is popping up in the North Country putting ash trees at risk.

Forestry experts found “emerald ash borer bugs” in the Akwesasne community which is part of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe.
The destructive pest is responsible for killing tens of millions of ash trees across the country.
Many departments are working together to come up with a plan to protect the community’s land.
